The Upstanders Community Film Screening

On November 10, 2022, The Speedy Foundation, in partnership with the Children's Home Society of Idaho, hosted a special screening of 'The Upstanders' at JUMP in downtown Boise, Idaho. Over 300 community members were in attendance to view this unsettling and uplifting film, causing us all to examine our behavior, inspiring us to to do better, be better, and stand up against victimization and cyber-bullying.
The event began with a community partner fair, where attendees had the opportunity to learn about local organizations and the work they do to uplift our community. Thank you to the following organizations for helping to make the community partner fair possible:
Following the community partner fair, attendees gathered for a 54-minute screening of 'The Upstanders,' a powerful film that features in-depth interviews with youth, families who have lost their children to cyber-bullying related suicide, and the very best experts in the world from prestigious universities including Stanford University and Child Mind Institute in NYC.
The night concluded with an informative panel discussion with community guests, led by Shannon Decker of The Speedy Foundation. Thank you to the following community guests for sharing your knowledge and perspectives on the important topics discussed in the film:
