On This Day In Sports
This Day In Sports…February 25, 2010, 16 years ago yesterday:
Boise’s Jeret “Speedy” Peterson flies 50 feet in the air and lands his famed Hurricane jump to win a silver medal in the men’s aerials at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Peterson had been a longshot after the first round, sitting in fifth place, but he brought the house down with his legendary second jump. “This is the best day of my life,” he told KTVB after the competition.

Anniversary of Speedy's Passing
On this date, in 2011, we lost Speedy to suicide. Suicide is always a very complex loss. We work in his memory with the hope that others are able to find help, hope, and healing. Be a champion for mental health and suicide prevention in Speedy’s memory.

The Speedy Foundation was Established Today in 2011
On this day, in 2011, The Speedy Foundation filed our paperwork to become a 501c3 Nonprofit organization in memory of Jeret “Speedy” Peterson. This is the 11 year anniversary of our organization.
