End of Impactful Film Access on Dec. 31st

As we approach the end of another year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the powerful journey we've experienced with “The Impactful Film Trilogy,” in partnership with the Children’s Home Society of Idaho and supported by our generous sponsors. The trilogy includes the films "The Upstanders," "LIKE," and "Angst." These films have not only sparked important conversations about mental health and resilience but have also fostered community connections that empower us all.

November 10th, 2022

Our journey began on November 10, 2022, with a special screening of "The Upstanders" at JUMP in downtown Boise. This event drew over 300 attendees who engaged with a poignant film that evokes critical discussions about victimization and cyberbullying. Participants also had the chance to connect with local organizations during a community partner fair, learning firsthand about the impactful work being done in our area.

 May 27th, 2023

Following that, on May 27, 2023, we held our second community screening, this time featuring the film "LIKE." Hosted at JUMP, this event opened up vital conversations around social media and its impact on mental health. Local leaders participated in discussions that illuminated the balance we must strive for in our technology-driven lives.

 June 6th, 2023

On June 6, 2023, we proudly showcased all three films of the Impactful Film Trilogy at Boise State's Student Union Building. Attendees enjoyed a traditional movie theater atmosphere complete with complimentary popcorn and candy, while also having access to valuable resources from outreach tables hosted by our community partners. This day was not only about enjoying the films but also about engaging in meaningful dialogue surrounding their important themes.

2023-2024 Boise School Year

Throughout the school year, we have helped host a variety of engaging events in the Boise school district centered around the theme of Impactful Films. These events provided students and the community an opportunity to explore important social issues through the lens of films. We helped to organize screenings followed by panel discussions. Our goal was not only to entertain but also to spark meaningful conversations among students and attendees.

October 19th, 2023

Most recently, on October 19, 2023, we hosted a screening of "Angst" at Boise State's Special Event Center, with the wonderful Kristin Armstrong leading a Q&A session after the film. This interactive element allowed attendees to engage directly with mental health professionals, deepening their understanding of the issues at hand. The supportive environment fostered by our community partners truly made this event special, as we all share a commitment to uplifting our youth and promoting mental wellness.

December 31st , 2024

The access to these films will remain available until December 31, 2024. This extended opportunity allows even more community members to experience the films and engage in the conversations they inspire. We encourage you to take this chance to watch the films, reflect, and contribute to dialogues about mental health, resilience, and hope within our communities.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in our events and to our incredible sponsors, including The Idaho Resilience Project and Blimpie. Your support has been instrumental in creating a safe and informative atmosphere for all attendees. We look forward to continuing this journey together and to future events that promote community connection and education around mental health.
